Welcome to your peaceful seaside retreat in beautiful Sandgate. Set on a quiet unpaved private road, this recently refurbished, spacious and self-contained apartment offers stunning views and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Whether you're here to unwind or explore the Kent coast, this calm and comfortable space is the perfect base.
Enjoy the privacy of your own entrance, a bright and airy open-plan living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches to help you feel at home. For electric vehicle users, a 7kW EV charger is available on-site (pay per kWh via the Pod Point app – search for charger “Shay-Carl”).
Please note: Use of the hot tub is not included in the rental price but is available to book as an optional extra during your stay, please contact us for more details and pricing.
We live in the apartment upstairs, so we’re generally nearby if you need anything — whether it’s help with the hot tub, advice on the area, or anything else to make your stay more comfortable. That said, we fully respect your privacy and will leave you to enjoy the space in peace unless you’d like our help.
As local residents, we’re happy to share our favourite places to eat, walk, or explore. We’ve designed the apartment as a relaxing, welcoming space and we love hosting guests who enjoy the sea air and the peaceful surroundings as much as we do.
Sandgate is a charming coastal village that offers a perfect mix of peace, history, and convenience. You’ll find independent coffee shops, cosy pubs, and local restaurants just a short walk or drive away, with even more options nearby in Hythe and Folkestone. For a scenic experience, stroll along the seafront promenade all the way to the vibrant Folkestone Harbour Arm, where you’ll find live music, markets, and street food.
The area is rich in things to do — from Port Lympne Safari Park to Dover Castle, or shopping at Ashford Designer Outlet. You’re around 3 miles from Folkestone West and Sandling train stations, with a bus stop just 200 yards away connecting you to Folkestone, Dover, Canterbury, Ashford, and New Romney. There’s also quick access to the M20, Eurotunnel, and ferry ports, making this an ideal location for day trips or longer adventures.
