We welcome you to our gorgeous cottage in the centre of Buxton, England's leading spa town.
No3 Brocklehurst Cottage has been recently renovated to offer comfortable, light and airy accommodation with high quality fittings. Within walking distance of everything Buxton has to offer.
We have secure parking for one car upon request a minutes walk from the cottage.
The train station is a five minute walk away.
There will be a charge of twenty pounds per stay for guests who would like to bring dogs.
The cottage has a hall with welcome desk and downstairs washroom. The open plan lounge, diner and kitchen is warm and inviting with it's real wooden floors and fireplace. There are ample books to read and films to watch on the DVD player. There is a smart TV in the living area where you can access your Netflix or Prime accounts along other free to view channels. There is also a cupboard full of board games.
Upstairs you will find the super king bedroom which can be converted into a twin upon request and also additional chair bed. The second bedroom is a double. Both bedrooms have TV's with smart TV boxes.
The bathroom has a full sized bath with shower over and free to use toiletries.
Buxton is on the border of the Peak District National park so makes an ideal base for walking, cycling and sightseeing.
The town’s Cultural Quarter is just five minutes’ walk away, and features some of the North of England’s most fascinating buildings – the Dome, The Crescent with it's brand new 5* hotel and spa, Buxton Opera House, the Pavilion Gardens and England’s oldest continuously operating hotel, The Old Hall, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. The Quarter includes restaurants – Indian, French, Italian, Thai and Swiss – as well as quirky bars and cafes. There is a selection of boutiques in the Cavendish Arcade, a converted thermal bath complex dating back to its hey-day as a spa town.
Buxton is England’s highest market town at over 1,030 feet and the regular outdoor market is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the year from 9am to 4pm. Along with the market there is an array of independent shops, restaurants and vintage pubs, some dating back to the 17th century.
