No 42 is a uniquely styled boutique character property oozing fun and sophistication. This perfect located home will blow you away with its artistic detail and luxury finishings, ensuring you have a fun and memorable stay. Enjoy off street parking ( EV plug in), large courtyard with festoon lighting and BBQ, sumptious dining room with fabulous artwork and 1960s cocktail bar, spacious family room and bedrooms with wrought iron beds and pillow top mattresses. 10 mins walk to centre and races. Located just a 5 minute stroll from York Station and 10 minutes to the centre of the city or the racecourse is this stunning Grade II listed Georgian townhouse with off street parking and EV charging point. Careful thought has gone into every detail of this magnificent holiday home and your comfort and enjoyment has been thought of in every aspect of the design. From the master bedroom on the top floor with its queen-size wrought iron bed with pillow top mattress, bedside lamps incorporating wireless chargers and en suite shower room, your restful nights sleep is assured. Two further beautiful bedrooms on the first floor (one very large bedroom with a king bed and one with a double bed), coupled with a luxurious family bathroom, ensure everyone is thought of. For seven guests or if required a trundle bed can be made up in the large bedroom upon request in advance (extra charge applies). On the ground floor you have a stylish and spacious lounge complimented by the most elegant and extravagant of dining rooms. The artwork is fabulous and the authentic 1960's cocktail bar provides the perfect back drop for a night in, enjoying a meal cooked in the beautifully equipped kitchen. Choose your own music on the Alexa speaker to set the scene. A handy computer/coffee bar in the kitchen is there for your or your childrens use. Outside entertaining is made perfect for you in the enclosed and private courtyard encorporating a dining area and a separate pergola with seating.

Neighbourhood information

Holgate Road is the posh end of York with some fine old merchant houses and buildings on the way in to York city centre. No.42 is next door to a fabulous newly opened coffee shop called Mae's where you can enjoy a coffee or a full breakfast. Mention Charlie sent you from No. 42 and you'll receive 10% discount on all food! York centre is just a 10 minute stroll with plenty more cafes, shops and bars on the way. The Minster is a 20 minute walk and York racecourse about 10-15 minutes.
