A beautiful, contemporary open plan log cabin with a separate and private bathroom, with a large rainfall shower. A king-size bed, with dressing table. 2 x armchairs, oak table & chairs, TV, games, kitchen area with hob, microwave etc. Double patio doors open up to a private and secure garden with a table & chairs and a seating area surrounded by a pergola, with solar lights, water feature, 2 x arm chairs and a coffee table. The cabin is situated off the B3273 and has almost direct access to Kings Wood, being less than 1 minutes walk away. The trail to the right takes you to Pentewan Village, hosting 2 x pubs, 2 x cafes, a mini supermarket, a shop selling gifts and ice cream, a water sports shop and a beautiful beach. This takes me about 20minutes to walk there, I also run and cycle there. Its lovely a flat and the first half you will walk next to a river, which our dogs love to play in and then through a beautiful canopy of trees. I have seen grey herons, dippers, Kingfishers plus many more wildlife. In the village you can access the famous South West Coast Path to go either left to Porthpean, Charlestown, Fowey etc, or go right by Pentewan Sands to Mevagissey, Gorran etc. Pentewan sands campsite offers a swimming pool ( seasonal access to non-residents), bar, restaurant, cafe, Hubbox, Fish & Chip shop, shop etc If you go onto the trail and turn left you can get to Polgooth Village, where thre is a lovely pub, village shop, antique shop and a golf course. You can also walk to The Cornwall Spa Hotel, lovely food, drinks, spa facilities etc. Further afield is Charlestown. Less than 1 minute away from the cabin is a bus service to places like, Mevagissey, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Charlestown, Fowey, St Austell etc. You can also walk to The Lost Gardens of Heligan in less than half an hour, which is absolutely worth visiting, if you like local produce, gardens, walking animals etc. Go through the five bar gates, walk in front of the houses next door, to the footpath.
Hi, my name is Loraine and I have lived in Pentewan Valley since 2013 and love it, so thought I’d share it by creating Acorn Lodge in 24/25. I am a keen runner, paddle boarder and have 2 dogs.
Acorn Lodge is situated in Pentewan Valley and has direct access to National cycle trail and Kingswood . We are short 20minute flat walk through Kingswood to Pentewan village and beach or 2km in the car, where there is limited free parking and 3 paying car parks. The lost Gardens of Heligan is approx. 25minute walk away, on a hard trail with an incline. There is a cafe right opposite the cabin in Little Winnick Campsite, which opens for breakfast in high season and has a small shop. Located less than a minute away is our local bus stop, this can take you to Mevagissey, St Austell, Charlestown, Fowey, Eden Project etc.
