James & Katherine welcome you to their home, an 18th century large cottage, a 4 star accredited guest house. Only a 2 minute walk to a wide choice of restaurants and pubs. We also have a lovely dining room and a cosy lounge for guest use.

Conveniently located at the top of the High Street opposite the Chard Museum, we are a short walk away from the shops and restaurants.
Ammonite Lodge is a 300 year old cottage style building, full of character and charm.
Renovation work of the facility kitchen will be carried out from February 16, 2026 to February 28, 2026.
On arrival, please park or stop at the front of the guest house, as access to our private parking to the rear is limited and may already be occupied. If our parking is occupied alternative parking suggestions will be provided.
Check-in is from 16:00 unless prior arrangements have been made with the property. Check-in after 22:00 is not permitted.
