The bedrooms consist of one ground-floor king-size and one room with 2 single beds, serviced by a bathroom and a shower room. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels included in the rent. Outside, there is a rear garden with lawn and furniture, bike storage and roadside parking. One well-behaved pet welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Wherever your exploration takes you, enjoy all this with a stay at Ashlea. Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping Bond.

The market town of Lauder sits on the Leader Water, on the western edge of the Lammermuir Hills, 22 miles southeast of Edinburgh. Situated within the Scottish Borders, Lauder is a popular town with lots to do for tourists. Exploring the Lauder Town Trail is one of the greatest ways to get to know the area and its history; It takes around an hour to traverse the 2 km (1.25 miles) long intriguing town trail. Close by sits the turreted and towered Scots Baronial Thirlestane Castle, one of the seven ‘Great Houses in Scotland’, perfect for an afternoon adventure as it contains unrivalled 17th century plasterwork ceilings, fine furnishings and a collection of Edwardian toys. Every August, the town holds a popular summer festival, including the Annual Election of the Cornet, the Kirking of the Cornet, and the ‘Night afore the Morn’ Concert’.
