Welcome to our private, peaceful and centrally located village cottage . The cottage is tucked away in its own secluded garden, less than five minutes walk from the three village pubs, village shop, cafe, post office, sports ground and parish hall. It has been recently renovated (new bathroom for 2024!) and is furnished with high quality linens, furniture and appliances. It is a light filled, relaxing space in the heart of Ashover and on the doorstep of the Peak District, close the the spa town of Matlock.
I love living in the beautiful North Derbyshire village of Ashover. My wife and I have created this lovely accomodation, which you will find clean, comfortable, relaxing and conveniently situated for access to the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales.
Ashover is a lovely Derbyshire village on the edge of the Peak District close to Matlock. There are many local walks and friendly village pubs. You have a local village shop, post office and coffee shop all within a few minutes walk. There is a village cricket ground and football pitch, tennis courts and many farm shops nearby. The village is mostly stone built and has a beautiful Grade 1 listed parish church which dates from 1275. There are local bus services in the village, serving Matlock, Chesterfield, Sheffield and more.
