Harlington is a mediaeval village. It has views over the National Trust owned Barton Hills. The village is surrounded by very pretty countryside and adjoins a nationally designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Unusually, for a village of its size, it possesses two village pubs, both dating to the 17th century. The church is grade 1 listed and backs onto the village green, Bury Orchard.
