Please note we operate a self-service check-in. On the morning of your booking, we will send you details of the access codes during your stay. There is free parking at Banks Roomsin the car park opposite. If this is full there is free public parking just up Waterloo Hill next to Minster Abbey. The nearest train station is Sheerness where you can find a taxi or take the 360 bus service to Minster Village.

This former alehouse was once frequented by Charles Dickens. and visited by the painter Hogarth as he walked to Minster from Queenborough in 1732 whilst on his infamous 5-day exploration of the area- "Hogarth's Frolic: The Five Days' Peregrination Around The Isle Of Sheppey" Now beautifully renovated brimming with charm and character, we are delighted to continue to welcome guests. All our bedrooms blend stylish modern décor with original features to create a wonderfully relaxing environment after a busy day.

Banks' is situated right in the heart of Minster Village, Minster's heritage stems from its royal Saxon Abbey which was originally a Benedictine convent, founded in the 7th Century by Queen Sexburga of Kent. The Abbey is a stone's throw from Banks. 10 minutes away by car the small seaside town of Leysdown offers a trip down memory lane to a traditional British seaside holiday experience complete with sandy beaches, ice cream, candyfloss, amusements, and a kiss me quick hat! 10 minutes away on foot you can take a relaxing walk along the picturesque clifftops that lead down to the Blue Flag bathing beaches at Minster Leas. To the north-east of the island is the market town and port of Sheerness; to the west is the historic town of Queenborough. For nature lovers a visit to Elmley Nature Reserve (Only 8 mins by car) is a must, huge skies, wilderness and wildlife.
