A more upscale, 5-Star Boutique Hotel / B&B (CHECK OUR OWN WEBSITE BEFORE YOU BOOK) which has been designed and decorated by the resident Artist's own hand. She is herself, a descendant of the famous British art citic John Ruskin! Enjoy the personal experience of this young family, originally from Australia who visited Edinburgh and could not leave. Relax in a common Club Room / Sitting area and take advice of the many suggestions from your hosts on the best places to visit. Barony House is an original 1887 Townhouse which has been slowly restored through the years to bring back original period features and enhanced with modern facilities.

Neighbourhood information

We are located on The Southside of Edinburgh, halfway between the 2 Major Castles. Craigmillar Castle is 1.9 miles South and Edinburgh Castle is 1.9 miles North, along the Royal Mile which is only 1.5 miles away. We also have easy access to the famous "Rosslyn Chapel" along the main road out of town which was made famous by Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code".
