Aberavon Beach A hidden gem loved by the people who live here some say its like being in a resort and they love it and mention how lucky they are to live here or glad they moved from somewhere else
Back in the 60's 70's and 80's coach loads of people used to travel down from the valley's to enjoy the beach. Its stunning beach being one of the most popular in South Wales at that time.
The beach is now a lot quieter than it was & over the last 20 years has undergone significant regeneration & improvement.
The weather has only got better during recent years even in Winter the crashing waves are dramatic and worth watching.

The house front garden has a gate directly entering the promenade which leads to the old Pier, fishing from here and the shoreline
Surfing on the main beach to the right of the house paddlie boarding & ladies yoga on the soft sand beach to the left until the autumn months
Cycling is popular as is dog walking & on a Sunday walking down the promenade is like crufts.
Dogs are welcome please discuss with me first prior to booking as I need to make sure their owners are well trained.

4 miles away is the iconic steel plant the last bastion of the UK heavy industry once the jewel in the crown of British Steel now owned by Tata Steel
At night time any bidding photographers can get some stunning photos
The area Port Talbot having the 4th deepest port in the UK and along with Milford Haven have been granted freeport status.
There are also green energy plans afoot leading to
enterprises about to start and electric arc furnaces to replace the blast furnaces in the steel plant
