Oulton House is a beautifully 2 bedroom restored home in Spofforth near Harrogate. We are delighted to have been awarded the BookingCom Travellers Award in 2025 and we continue to maintain our standards giving our property one of the highest rating scores in the Harrogate area. The property dates back many centuries and is full of character with original oak beamed ceilings and many unique features. It was originally a coaching house complete with stables at the rear but closed in 1927 when it became a family home. The property has been completely refurbished over the last 2-3 years with new bathrooms , bedroom layouts and renovated kitchen and living areas. With an enclosed terrace and garden to rear this is an ideal property for children . The property offers private off-road parking for one vehicle as well as parking directly in front of the property along with EV charging facility (details upon request). Set in the beautiful village of Spofforth with a fabulous shop/deli, bistro and pub on its doorstep in the village this is a fantastic location for using as a base to explore Yorkshire. Ideally located to explore the local areas, and is set between the spa town of Harrogate and the market town of Wetherby and is an ideal base to explore the Yorkshire Dales, visit nearby York or Leeds or a longer day trip to the East Yorkshire coast.
Howard and Elia welcome you to their beautiful home in Yorkshire which we have lovingly restored over the last few years. You will have exclusive use of the property during your stay but if any help is needed you can contact the owner directly for assistance or guidance by mobile telephone.
Within walking distance to Spofforth Castle ruin, a pub and fabulous bistro restaurant a 2 minute walk away in the village and a convenience store next door. It’s a great base for walking, cycling and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The buses run regularly to Harrogate, Wetherby, and Leeds. Plenty of country walks on your doorstep.
