I'm Matt, happily married to my husband Kenny. We live in a beautiful historic village - Archiestown with our two huskies Ralph & Fen. Archiestown is set in Scotland's Speyside, famous for the Malt Whisky trail. We are surrounded by stunning countryside & famous Whisky distilleries. We are only 2 miles from the famous river Spey, known for its Salmon fishing and watersports.
We have been providing the Croft to hundreds of guests now for almost three years. Having dogs ourselves it was important for us to provide dog friendly but still luxurious accommodation for our guests and their furry friends. We only request that our guests respect he house rules, that their pets are NOT left unattended in the Croft at any time.
We are very happy to answer any questions that our guests have prior or during their stay. We live onsite which makes it very easy for us to help whenever we are needed.

Archiestown is perfectly situated to explore the many delights of Speyside and the Highlands. Located in the county of Moray (pronounced Murray) formerly called Elginshire, the historic county lies in the North East of Scotland. Mainly hilly with the Cairngorm mountains and national park serving as backdrop to the South, up to Elgin and Lossiemouth in the north, and covering a vast stretch of the moray firth coastline from Culben forest in the west to Cullen beach in the east.
Being ideally located on the famous Malt Whisky Trail, within a short drive you will be able to sample fine single malt Whisky and locally hand-crafted Gin. Only a short 2-mile drive, or if you are feeling fit, a 40-minute walk is the stunning River Spey, offering a variety of water sports and fine salmon fishing. The Croft is also surrounded by many estates offering the more adventurous visitor game or clay pigeon shooting. We are also only 23-miles, or 35-minute drive to the beautiful north east coastline with its stunning sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. This part of Speyside has something to offer every visitor to the area.
