Our beautifully converted barn is ideally located in the picturesque village of Ruston. Set within a stunning Grade II listed farmstead, just 50 metres from the edge of the North York Moors National Park & with easy access of coastal walks, beaches & market towns including Whitby, Pickering, Filey, Cayton & Malton. Stylishly & comfortably furnished, the ground floor is roomy & open plan with a wood burner & under floor heating. The mezzanine bedroom has a super comfortable King size bed & bath.

Originally from Scotland and having lived in the South for much of our lives, in 2022, after a few years living in the sunshine in Turkey, we have edged back closer to our homeland. We've recently taken on the beautiful West Hill, in need of much tlc, and Blacksmith's Barn, to which we have already added our stamp of eclectic style and home comforts, which we look forward to sharing with you. We are enjoying the project we have ahead of us in bringing this grand house back to the condition it deserves. We also plan, subject to relevant permissions, to bring it into the 21st century with green energy, EV charging and windows that don’t get covered by condensation every chilly night - not to mention doors that close! Simple things, with a touch of style. In our spare time we will be exploring the beautiful countryside, coastline and villages around us, along with our 3 Turkish rescue dogs, Yogi, Skye and Charlie. Our holiday cottage is set in the idyllic, unspoilt village of Ruston, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, just 50 metres from the park boundary. You can head out for a country walk right from the doorstep, with a cosy pub and tea rooms just 10 minutes walk away, or take a short drive to the coast. The location is perfect for exploring the Moors, the Coastline and the many beautiful surrounding villages and towns.
