Bleak House is a Victorian house in an area which is very popular with guests. We offer room only therefore guests can come and go as they please. We provide on street parking permits which is included in the price. We offer two ensuite rooms, one of which is on the ground floor the other on the first floor. We also offer a large room on first floor which has a double and single bed with separate toilet and shower room down a few stairs solely for that room. All rooms have a fridge, with plates and bowls, and washing up bowl.

I love spending time with family. I enjoy walking, swimming and reading and going out to watch live music. I am from Whitby and have worked in the community over the years. My background was in youth work.

We are very central. We are 5 to 10 mins to the town, train station and bus station. Also 5 min to beach. There are plenty of places to eat and drink on the doorstep for breakfast and evening meals. There are lots of pubs, one of which is a micro bar offering real ale. You can walk along the sea wall and depending on tide time along the beach to Sandsend. A popular walk is from the Abbey Steps to Robin Hoods Bay. We can give info on local walks.
