8 Traditional Peak District Holiday Cottages. Our 8 traditional stone barn conversion cottages are set around a courtyard, approximately 2 miles from the centre of Bakewell. Each cottage has been lovingly converted from traditional style farm buildings, preserving the original Derbyshire character whilst being fitted out for today's lifestyle. Each cottage is unique in its size, design and layout whilst all possessing an individual enclosed outdoor seating area. Cottages to sleep between 1 - 6 people (27 in total). We offer flexible arrival and departure days (any day of the week arrival) - minimum 2 night stay. Group bookings of more than 1 cottage must be discussed with us in advance. Furthermore, please enquire in advance should you wish to bring dog(s) so that we can sufficiently manage dogs on-site and help you to enjoy the site. Please see below regarding how many dogs we can accommodate in each cottage. Site facilities are provided to accompany our cottages including: Games Room, Group Dining Area (must be pre-booked), Laundry Room, BBQ Viewpoint Area, Dog Paddocks, Field Walk, Walks from the Door, Enclosed Outdoor Seating Areas and 20 acres of Grounds. The centre of Bakewell is approximately a 2 mile drive away and you can walk to Bakewell on the local footpath which is approximately a 6 mile walk. We have a whole site for you to enjoy, more than just a holiday cottage! We are situated at the top of a hill, approximately 1100ft above sea level meaning the site is blessed with wonderful views over the local Derbyshire countryside, including lovely south westerly views over Lathkill Dale. There are a range of walks straight from your front door with the villages of Monyash, Over Haddon, Sheldon and Ashford-in-the-Water accessed directly via the local footpath. Many of our guests also appreciate the views whilst enjoying the joyful garden birds, dabbling in photography or simply having a relaxed picnic. Bolehill Farm is an ideal base to explore the local area. The area's famous attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Heights of Abraham are all a short drive away. There are many special places to explore on foot in the Peak District, including Kinder Scout and Mam Tor through to our many pretty villages. Moreover, our local trails are excellent whether on foot or bike. These include the Monsal, Tissington, High Peak and Manifold trails. Bakewell and the surrounding area has a range of pubs, restaurants and local cafes (and not forgetting the famous Bakewell Pudding and Derbyshire Oatcakes - not to be missed!).
