PLEASE NOTE: OUR TRADITIONAL B&B IS CLOSED DAILY FROM 11AM - 4PM. Multi - award winning B&B, situated right on St. Cuthbert's Way. Bowden House Boutique B&B is a beautifully presented country house with magnificent panoramic views and large private gardens. It is situated 3 miles from Melrose & St. Boswells - perfectly located for exploring the Scottish Borders. Dating from the early 19th century, our B&B is full of charm and character and has been lovingly restored and refurbished. There is free WiFi access throughout the house and we have ample parking space in our courtyard. Our Boutique B&B provides 3 superb bedrooms - all are individually furnished with TV and coffee/tea making facilities and enjoy south facing views over the countryside. The bathrooms and en-suites are to a luxury standard with toiletries provided. Our guests are welcome to relax in our cosy lounge with internet access, TV, board games, video library, log fire and our Bang & Olufson sound system. We try to cater for every taste - whether you prefer a simple continental breakfast, a "full Scottish Breakfast", a vegetarian or a vegan variety. Evening meals and packed lunches can be provided upon request.
Hello, we are Uta & Jason - your hosts of Bowden House B&B. I an Austrian/English couple and fell in love with the beautiful Scottish Borders 18 years ago. We returned to Bowden/Melrose in 2015 and now enjoy welcoming guests to our lovely bed & breakfast. As outdoor enthusiast, we enjoy walking with our dogs Fyodor & Yoko, finding new running routes and playing tennis at the local club.

Discover Abbotsford House, Floors Castle, Traquair House and the 3 Abbeys in Melrose, Jedburgh and Kelso. The Scottish Borders offer plenty of walking trails to explore the beautiful countryside at your own pace. We are happy to provide you with a wide range of walking guides for the area. Golf enthusiasts love the Scottish Borders. With 21 golf courses to choose from in the area and a total of 46 golf courses in a 60 mile radius, you are spoilt for choice. Locally you can play the popular "must-play" Woll 18 hole golf course, the hilly Melrose 9 hole course or the scenic St. Boswells 9 hole course. For experts the famous Roxburghe Championship Golf Course and the Macdonald Cardrona Championship course will definitely hit the spot.
