There are 2 holiday cottages adjoining our home. Each have 1 King size bed. The cottages date back to the 1700's and have been recently renovated to a high standard. Each cottage has its own enclosed cottage garden and space to park 1 car.

We live on site but we wont bother you, unless you want to chat. We will greet you and give you the key and show you into the property and give you any information about the area you may need. If we arent able to greet you there is a key safe available. We moved to the coast in lock down following redundancy. Sold everything we owned and the renovations have taken us till this year 2025, 5 years in total. We love living in the village, walking the many coastal routes and looking out for wildlife which includes Puffins, Dolphins and Seals. The local pubs serve excellent food and drinks too.

We are in the heart of the village, everything you need is a short walk away. There is a Coop, post office, 2 Fish & Chip shops, Cake shop, Butchers, Pharmacy and several pubs serving good food -most are dog friendly. The closest beach is South Landing and is under a mile away, about a 10/15 minute walk. Access to coastal paths are easy walks from the door or you can drive a short way to a start point. The village is an excellent location to explore the East Yorkshire coast with Bridlington, Filey & Scarborough very close and further afield but still an easy day out are Ravenscar, Whitby & Robin Hoods Bay. Inland, there are many lovely towns & villages to visit too like Beverley, Driffield, Thornton Le Dale to name only a few. It is a residential area so outside noise should be kept to a minimum after 10pm. The properties are attached so respect for anyone staying next door is also expected. Driftwood cottage is dog friendly and is next to the road that leads to the lighthouse so can get busy, with a lot of farm machinery traffic. It won't suit any dogs who are reactive to traffic while sat in the enclosed garden. Seaglass Cottage does not accept pets.
