Bridge House is a 5 star visit Britain venue with Breakfast awards every year for the past 7 years. We are a really friendly couple, not snooty, as sometimes are found in 5 star B & B's. We do not accept dogs, cats etc and no children under 13 - So with the very thorough cleaning Lynn does, there shouldn't be any allergy problems here. We ask all guests to vacate rooms between 10.00 weekdays, 10.30 weekends and 16.00 each day during their stay with us. To ensure all guests can sleep soundly, we do not permit entry back into Bridge House after 01.00. All beds are pocket sprung and regularly turned & vacuumed. The Gardens are quite large and nice to sit in or take a stroll.
Lynn just loves looking after our guests and cooking for them. Paul is an OAP, disabled and well past his best - but bless him, he always does his best and is a great host and handyman. Come here and join in our happy family repartee, never a really dull moment at Bridge House
Newark is a historic Market Town and a central point of the English Civil War. We have some stunning architecture, cinema, theatre, civil war museum and the Nottinghamshire County Showground. There are many events on including 6 International Antiques Fairs a year, where more than a 1000 traders are selling antique & vintage items. Tractor Shows, dog, cattle,horse, pony shows add to the events. We have lots of restaurants offering all tastes of foodsfoods to suit all tastes. Newark s a centre for excellence for local real ales and we have lots of great pubs here. Newark is a wonderful place to tour the area and all it has to offer in Lincoln, Southwell, Sherwood Forest (Robin Hood) Nottingham etc. Even Derbyshire and the peak district is within Day trip distance.
