Hello all guests. I'm looking forward to welcoming you to Bron Hafren. I'm friendly, love life and enjoy new experiences and meeting new people. I have travelled extensively and over the years have had many interests and hobbies. Currently I'm interested in learning about birds and nature. I am a member of Berriew W.I and enjoy serving on their social committee. I also arrange tea for the ladies. I am a learner country and western dancer and am slowly getting to grip with the steps. Friends and family are important to me.

Victorian charm on the banks of the River Severn, with a modern twist! Renovated in 2018, Bron Hafren offers spacious, stylish, well equipped ensuite rooms with a view. Also Kettle, microwave, fridge, cutlery/crockery. Central to Montgomery, Newtown, Powys Castle and Welshpool (within 10 miles), pubs and shops (within 2 miles). Close to excellent walks (Severn Way, Offa’s Dyke, Montgomery Canal etc.), canoeing, fishing, golf club and Garthmyl Hall (10 - 15 minute walk). Beautiful scenic countryside. Near to Welshpool/Llanfair narrow gauge railway. The house is set in a beautiful, mature garden displaying some exotic plants and ancient trees. These provide shelter for various birds and small wildlife. Sheep are often found grazing in the nearby fields. Guests have access to the shared dining room, conservatory lounge and outside patio/terrace. This area is particularly pleasant to sit out in summer, when the weather is most kind. The River Severn flows at the bottom of the garden, winding its way past our woods. It is very picturesque - sometimes ducks and swans come to visit. Bron Hafren owns the fishing rights to its river frontage. Do enquire if you wish to fish

There are many interesting places to visit around us including castles, gardens, museums, art galleries, walks. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs around us. We are within 10 minutes’ walk to Lakeside Golf Club (0.3 miles). Montgomery canal is 0.5 miles away for a lovely walk/cycle. Offas's Dyke, is within reach near Montgomery section. Mid Wales Shooting centre is 14 miles away whilst Bettwys Hall is 4.4 miles away. Powis Castle is 5.2 miles away (The seat of the Earl of Powis). Montgomery Castle 1.8 miles away - stunning views. Recommended Museums are The Old Bell Museum, Montgomery which displays a history of the area; Newtown Textile Museum displays a history of hand-loom weaving and local industrial heritage; The Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture, Berriew and Powysland Museum, Welshpool displaying regional archaeological finds and history exhibits. Within walking distance of Garthmyl Hall (0.6 miles) and Gregynog is 7 miles from us - fabulous wedding venues! Lake Vyrnwy is an hour away, as is Snowdonia National Park and a variety of feeding stations for birds of prey. West coast beaches are roughly an hour and a half away
