Inside, a darker, moodier palette sets the tone — rich textures, deep hues, and gentle lighting create a cocoon-like atmosphere designed for rest, stillness, and a touch of quiet drama. Each space is carefully composed to invite slow mornings, long baths, and deep sleep. The shores of Lake Windermere are just a short and scenic walk away, offering guests the chance to reconnect with nature or drift across the water on a peaceful lake cruise. Though we don’t offer private parking, there is free on-street availability nearby, as well as a convenient pay & display car park just two minutes from the house. To maintain a calm and restful environment, we kindly do not accommodate stag or hen parties. With the town’s best cafés and brunch spots right outside the door, mornings here begin with choice — whether you crave a strong coffee on a quiet street corner or a slow breakfast with views of the fells. Each room is equipped with a coffee machine, kettle, and mini fridge for your convenience, and select rooms also offer a microwave — perfect for those who prefer to keep things easy and unhurried. Thoughtful touches throughout ensure your stay feels both comfortable and quietly indulgent.
