Very quite park for a relaxing journey! We are only 6 miles from the Scottish border of Gretna Green which I famous for people running away to get married. We are also only 45 mins drive from beginning of the Lake District which is accessible on M6. We are only about 13 miles away from hadrians wall the best places to see the wall are Birdoswald and Vindolanda which has a ruins site to walk around and a museum to visit. Also on the way to hadrians wall is Lanercost Priory Carlisle castle is approx 7 miles away and is well worth a look. We are very lucky to be located in a historical area. We are perfectly situated between Hadrians Wall which is great for parking up and walking along, Carlisle has a castle to visit there is also Tullie House museum. Gretna is only a 5 min drive also Keilder Water which is approx hours drive has a play area and a bird of prey center also the biggest man made damn/reservoir in Europe
