Hi my name is Jayne, I enjoy hospitality and making guests feel that they can have the comforts of home even while away. An apartment is a little more personal convenient and comfortable than a hotel room and affords more flexibility while staying in the area. While i myself will not be able to greet you i have a wonderful housekeeper that will attend to any requests or problems you may have. Hello and welcome to Carnegie Library. Built in 1906 for the village of Swinton the library is full of original features and character. This beautifully built library sits on the main road of Swinton South Yorkshire. We have owned the building for more than 20 years and consists of 3 privately rented apartments and The reading room apartment as a short stay apartment. There is a front main door accessed by keypad entry and then within the building a private lock box for the apartment entry. It is fully equipped with all that you will need for even longer stays. Dolce Gusto coffee machine with pods, cafetiere, slow cooker, and microwave. The apartment is open plan living with living area on the ground level, kitchen just 3 steps up and a further 3rd level brings you to the balcony bedroom with king size 2000 spring luxury leather bed. The bathroom is decorated and furnished with items in keeping with the age and style of the building but with a modern twist. Tea and coffee are provided also toiletries in the bathroom and cleaning products in the kitchen too.

The Library is quite central to so many beautiful areas. Nearby is Wentworth where there is a fantastic garden centre, an amazing picturesque village and a stately home Wentworth Woodhouse which is open to the public and has the longest facade in Europe. We are 5 minute walk to Swinton train station accessing many cities Doncaster, Sheffield, Barnsley and the famous Meadowhall shopping centre. Locally there are many eating houses, The Bank serves coffee breakfast and great lunches, Carl's Place is the fish and chip shop and Cinnamon the great taste of Indian food. We have a Co-op supermarket a 2 minute walk, post office and local modern library. There are many other shops in walking distance, Good bus route and taxi rank if needed.
