Castle View Apartments This brand new, modern and peaceful apartment is in the heart of Kendal town. Located in the centre of the historic market town, on the Market Place, The Hideout offers stunning views and instant access of the local area. Built in 17th century, this former Theatre and Meeting House is now a row of shops. Bought by Trustees of Working Men's Institute in 1843 and refronted for them in 1865, The Working Men's Institute was largely rebuilt in about 1760 and restored in 1979. A grade 11 listed building since 1969, this lovingly refurbished building is now home to two brand new apartments in the heart of the Lake District. A stay in the gateway to the Lake District will ensure your visit is alive with arts, events, festivals and culture, packed with intriguing history and great shopping streets. Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally located venue or venture further afield to nearby Windermere and surrounding areas. We have recently lovingly refurbished both apartments in a listed building. 'The Hideout' it tucked away on the second floor and 'The Lookout' is a great place to people watch on the top floor from the deep sash windows across the town centre. If you are visiting mid-week there is a market on every Wednesday and a farmers’ market on the last Friday of every month. Large open plan living space with modern kitchen, dining room and living area. A 40” smart HD TV with streaming services and games for you to play. Double bedrooms with space to hang your clothes, a dressing table, hair dryer and a full-length mirror. Bathroom - newly fitted, modern shower, toilet and vanity unit. Iron and board supplied. As the apartment is brand new, we are still waiting for Wi-Fi to be connected by the provider. As the building is in the town centre, phone data has a strong connection and can be used throughout the apartment. If this is a problem, please let us know ASAP upon booking and we will try our best to help.

If you want to travel slightly further afield Kendal is the Gateway to the Lake District so the beauty of the Lakes is just a stone’s throw away. Whether you want to explore the other beautiful Lake District towns and villages or try out some of the 214 Wainwright walks it’s the perfect base for all your adventures.
