周边信息
Certws-Y-Ffynnon is located on a peaceful 23-acre smallholding near the village of Llanycefn, just 20 minutes from Cardigan and a short drive from the Pembrokeshire coast.
The estate, known in Welsh as Nantyweirglodd Isaf, meaning ‘Lower Hay Meadow by the Stream’, is a mix of pasture, ancient woodland, and riverside walks. The Orb stream runs along the edge of the land, feeding into the River Taf, where you’ll find pools deep enough for wild swimming and trails rich with wildlife. Spring brings bluebells to the woods, summer brings dragonflies to the river, and all year round there are benches, hammocks, and rope swings waiting for anyone who wants to slow down and enjoy the view.
The disused railway line that runs through the grounds now serves as a scenic walkway where dogs can run off lead, and kids can burn off energy. There’s a makeshift play area with gymnastic rings and a climbing board, and enough space for a game of rounders or a post-lunch nap.
When you’re ready to explore beyond the grounds, the nearby Preseli Hills offer panoramic walking routes, while Cardigan Bay is home to sandy beaches, cliff paths, and charming seaside towns. There’s a local pub within a mile, plenty of food shops in nearby Crymych or Cardigan, and more castles, coves and craft shops than you’ll know what to do with.
Whether you're here for the hot tub, the animals, the wild swimming or the quiet, slow rhythm of rural Wales, Certws-Y-Ffynnon is a proper escape - and one you won’t want to leave.
