I moved into CV in a snow storm, the Beast from the East was raging, the roads were treacherous and 99% of the UK had batten down the hatches. But when I picked up the keys, I didn’t care that this was a terrible day for driving down from London, moving house and starting a new life, it was the best day ever, hands down, no question. My aim is to help you have a wonderful stay in Weymouth and hopefully you’ll want to come back again and again. In a nutshell, you’ll get a warm welcome, a hearty breakfast, a comfortable bed and a spectacular view on your door step.

Channel View is a Georgian guesthouse situated right on the beach with incredible views over Weymouth Bay and the stunning Jurassic Coast. There are 7 beautifully decorated guest rooms across 3 floors, a breakfast room with the best view in town and a comfortable guest lounge that feels like home. Every room has free Wi-Fi; mini fridge with fresh milk and water; hairdryers; fragrance warmers; tea tray and kettle; alarm clock; Freeview TV; access to iron / board; fans; robes; towels and toiletries. There is a comfortable guest lounge for everyone to use and feel at home with books, TV and DVDs, games / cards, Wii games console, crabbing kits, buckets and spades. A travel cot and highchair is available on request if you have a little one. Channel View is a licensed premise if you’d like to purchase beers and / or prosecco and there are also homemade treats on arrival / departure. Looking after my guests is my priority, but I also try to look after our environment and support our local community. You’ll notice glass instead of plastic and I use local suppliers who are award-winning, independent and passionate about quality and their customers, just like me.

Weymouth is situated on the Jurassic Coast and is a beautiful seaside resort There is a Sea Life Centre within walking distance along with Sandworld and a Pirates Golf Adventure. There are also many other places of interest nearby like Corfe Castle, The Tank Museum, Monkey World and quaint Abbotsbury village where there is a unique Swannery and beautiful Gardens There are also many lovely walks along Coastal Paths and bike hire is available with cycle trails nearby There are pedalos and kayaks for hire on Weymouth Beach and also water sports like jet skiing, paddle boarding and kayaking available at Bowleaze Cove just a short way along from Weymouth Weymouth has a great theatre called the Pavilion which has continual entertainment on the agenda Portland is attached to Weymouth by a causeway and has many interesting things to visit, especially Portland Bill Lighthouse, and the views from there along Chesil Beach are amazing Chesil Beach is unusual in itself as it runs for 18 miles and has water on both sides
