Peony Place, situated between Alnwick and the Cheviots, is a beautifully presented cosy cottage. In the heart of rural Northumberland yet close to interesting towns and the glorious coastline, there are many attractions in the area. The Running Fox cafe & Plough pub are just a 5 minute drive away. We provide welcome goodies: fresh eggs, milk, coffee pods & locally made biscuits. A very warm welcome awaits you at Peony Place, which has been decorated and furnished with much thought and care. The cottage consists of an attractive living room with a wood burning stove, a well-equipped and homely kitchen, a lovely master bedroom with a double bed, a pretty second bedroom with two single beds, and a good sized bathroom with a stylish bath and shower over. The living room has an audio smart speaker, a TV and wifi connection - which runs throughout the cottage. There is a wide selection of books, along with local guides, maps and games such as Scrabble, with plenty suitable for children. The kitchen has an electric range cooker, a microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and a funky pink fridge! There is a round table & chairs, with quirky vintage units containing everything needed for self-catering. The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed with quality bedding and an electric blanket for when the weather is chillier. There is a chaise longue, dresser and a large cupboard with a hanging rail. The second bedroom has two single beds with tasteful bedding, a set of drawers, a wardrobe and a bedside table. There is a utility room equipped with a washer-dryer and hooks for any wet walking clothes. The private courtyard has an outdoor sofa, a swing egg-chair, plus a table & chairs. There's a parasol for sunny days and a fire pit with a supply of wood, with special binoculars to see the spectacular 'clear sky stars'!
