Church Brae is a registry-listed stone church in the Scottish Highlands built in 1843. It has recently been renovated as a luxury three bedroom and two bath holiday let maintaining its character, while incorporating modern amenities.
Church Brae sleeps a total of seven people in three bedrooms with two full baths. Two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and one with a double bed and twin bunk above, share a shower and toilet. The downstairs bedroom hosts a super king bed. An elegant downstairs bath with large shower can be used by all or by closing a hall door becomes an en suite bath for the main bedroom.
The great room features a wood burning stove, comfortable Harris Tweed sofas, and a large refectory table--perfect for group dinners and intimate celebrations. The old choir loft has been converted into a TV room and small library, overlooking the great room. A well equipped modern kitchen will support all your food storage and preparation needs.
At the back of the church is a patio and tiered garden that hosts a table and chairs for summer outdoor dining. Please be mindful of our neighbors and limit outdoor noise after 10pm!
The church is conveniently located in the charming village of Tomatin, 15 miles south of Inverness and 15 miles north of Aviemore. Tomatin is a wonderful location to start your tour of the Highlands! The village is small and tight-knit with a community centre with a shop, cafe, and e-bike rental. Tomatin is a favorite area for birdwatching, as well. The Tomatin Whiskey distillery is a short drive away.
