Due to the Government Lockdown my bed and breakfast will be closed from 3rd March until Sunday 16th May 2021. I am very sorry for any inconvenience. Clare Cottage is situated centrally within easy walking distance of the Saxon town of Sherborne, Dorset, and is perfectly placed for the shops, restaurants, award winning pubs, markets, and the magnificent Abbey which dates back to 705. This beautiful town has many wonders to see among them this small but delightful museum with unique medieval wall paintings and a fossil collection. Dorset is full of beautiful National Trust properties waiting to be discovered, and a very informative Tourist office. The Jurassic coast is a 40 minute drive away with many wonders to see and some wonderful walks. For children there is anything from Steam Trains, Monkey world, Oceanarium at Bournemouth, Abbotsbury Swannery, Poole Harbour Cruises, Adventure Wonderland and many more. The train station which comes from London Waterloo is only a 6 minute walk away from my cottage, or if you prefer to drive I have free off street parking. I have created a unique experience here at my home, with relaxed charm and elegance it is perfect for the business man or woman or that special occasion when you know that you deserve to spoil yourselves. In the summer the charming garden is available for that delicious evening drink or just to sit and enjoy the sun. In the winter months one can curl up in front of a crackling fire with a glass of wine and catch up on a long wished for good book

My Bed and Breakfast is located in a quiet residential area within five minutes of the town centre. This beautiful Saxon town has many shops, restaurants, pubs and cultural sites to see.
