Porthleven has a developing harbour area but it also retains its history and charm. Easy walking distance to award-winning restaurants, bistros, and pubs to visit and quirky shops to browse in. Situated on the coastal footpath, it is the perfect location to explore the stunning coastline. Porthleven is well known to surfers for its excellent surf and its beach is clean and safe with a Lifeguard in attendance. It is the ideal base for exploring the stunning Cornish coastline, either by foot, kayak, or paddleboard. Porthleven has a regular bus service to all major towns nearby and there are railway stations at Penzance, Redruth, and Truro. There are also several reliable local taxi services. Many beautiful harbours, sandy beaches, and traditional Cornish villages can be found within a short drive. The unspoiled Lizard Peninsula, Kynance Cove, the Helford River, St Ives, Prussia Cove, St Michaels Mount, and the stunning beaches at Pedn Vounder and Porthcurno are all within easy reach.
