Cobbler’s Cottage was originally the workshop for the local shoemaker . It’s situated next to the River Tay , Scotland’s longest river , at Grandtully Rapids, a favourite spot for kayakers and canoeists .

There’s a double height , spacious living room with dining table . For those cosy nights in , light the log burning stove and enjoy the ambience . There’s a TV with Freesat , together with WiFi .
On the lower level is a shower room with WC together with a fully equipped kitchen including a hob , oven , fridge / freezer , microwave , washing machine and separate drier . The kitchen has everything you will need for self catering .
At the front is a garden area with table and chairs . There’s one parking space immediately outside the cottage and visitor parking on the right , further down the Lane to the side of the cottage .

I live in the adjacent house which was the home for the village shoemaker and his family .
In Strathtay village , there’s a handy village shop and Post Office for all your essentials . Across the bridge over the River Tay, is Grandtully , a five minute walk away - there’s a pub with restaurant , a further restaurant with hotel , and a coffee shop with award winning speciality chocolate shop attached .
Strathtay is situated a ten minute drive from the A9 , on the way to Aberfeldy. Pitlochry is a 15 minute drive away .
There are a host of river activities available on the River Tay , including canoeing and white water rafting . There’s a golf course in Strathtay, a five minute walk away . Cobbler’s Cottage is on the Rob Roy Way , a long distance footpath . There are numerous walks and trails for every ability nearby .
Cobbler’s Cottage at Kindrochet, Strathtay, is an ideal location from which to explore all that highland Perthshire has to offer.
