UPDATED PHOTOS 2024 - Valhalla is a family-owned and operated four-bedroom self-catering holiday home in the north east highland village of Helmsdale, Sutherland, Scotland. The house is ideal for up to 8 guests looking for a change of scenery and a slower pace of life. Coastal and highland walking, fishing, golfing, and exploring secluded beaches and highland slopes are all available in the area. Valhalla is on a quiet street & close to local pubs, shops, and restaurants.
We will not be in the village but please contact Jackie Boyd on her mobile for any help or advice you may need for the house.
Helmsdale is a quiet village in a beautiful Highland location. If there is such a thing as a slow time dimension then this is it - its a great place to disconnect from modern life and revive your spirit. However if you wish to be active there is plenty to do in the surrounding environs. We are very happy to offer loads of recommendations of where to go and where to eat too. If using the bus and trains as your mode of transport you are in close walking distance of the house. (5 - 10 mins) Stagecoach run regular buses through all the coastal communities between Inverness and Helmsdale. Trains are available from Inverness, Perth, Wick or Thurso.
