Coot Cottage is a 2 bedroom property on the Lower Mill Estate, part of the Cotswold Water Park. It has fantastic views of Somerford Lagoon from the large balcony, where there is seating for 4 and a bbq. Steps lead down to a jetty where you can launch your own canoes and paddlesboards (between April and September). There are 2 bedrooms one with a super king size bed (can be a twin on request) & one with a king size bed - plus 2 bathrooms, one en suite shower room and one bathroom with bath and shower over. There is a large living area on the ground floor with dining table that seats 6, two sofas, a flat screen tv, wood burning stove and kitchen. There is also a downstairs loo. There is free wifi throughout. There is parking for one car opposite the cottage and more parking a short walk away. Included in the rental is free access to the Mill Village outdoor swimming pool, sauna and tennis courts. Canoe, kayak, paddleboard & bike hire can be booked at the Activity Hub on the estate where you can also rent bicycles. There are great wildlife walks and bike rides from the door including around the estate. Suitable for adults, children and dogs. Dogs are charged at twenty five pounds per pet per stay payable on arrival at the property.

The cottage overlooks Somerford Lagoon, the largest lake on the Lower Mill Estate. The estate has a restaurant which is 5 minutes walk from the cottage and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a also a small shop selling essentials. Mill Village has an outdoor pool, sauna and tennis court free for guests to use. There is an activity centre on the estate where you can hire bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. There are many great pubs in the area and plenty within walking/cycling distance. The Lower Mill Estate is a lakeside nature reserve comprising of eight lakes, two rivers and miles of walking trails. Its woodlands and hedgerows are home to a diverse range of native wildlife. Over 25 species of water birds can be seen on the lakes over Winter. Spring brings a huge range of breeding birds including Nightingale, Cuckoo and Cetti’s Warbler. House Martins arrive in April and can be seen nesting on the houses. Walk through wildflower meadows in the summer and later in the year enjoy the autumnal colours.
