COMFORT IN THE COUNTRYSIDE: Our cosy, comfortable, well appointed cottages form part of the original stone farm steading where they were the dairy, granary & water powered sawmill. Each cottage sleeps from 1 to a family/group of 4. Enjoy views of our garden and paddocks with horses and sheep. All the cottages have a ground floor lounge, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom upstairs. Choose the cottage with the layout to suit your needs. We can offer drying and laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi connection and secure over-night storage for bicycles.
FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS: If you like animals, Corehouse Farm is for you. We have a livery yard on part of the farm with a variety of horses and ponies to see. While during the day our farm can be a lively rural scene of activity, in the evening it offers that tranquil setting to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country – no busy city traffic or revellers to keep you awake at night! If you wish to bring any pets (including horses) on holiday, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
As the farm owner, I look forward to welcoming guests (2 & 4 legged) to Corehouse Farm Cottages. I enjoy sharing & introducing guests to our special slice of beautiful Scottish countryside. Our calm, well mannered horses; fit & healthy wee dogs; several favourite named sheep from the larger Corehouse flock; and free roaming cats provide us & our guests with daily enjoyment whether they are simply grazing or wandering around the fields - there is always some animal antics to watch at Corehouse.
We are located at the head of the beautiful Clyde Valley where there are numerous garden centres to explore. We are adjacent to the stunning Falls of Clyde Nature Reserve. Nearby are the historic New Lanark World Heritage Site and the market town of Lanark with its famous links to Scotland's national hero, William Wallace. Come and enjoy the quiet of our beautiful rural setting. You could choose to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lanarkshire countryside on our doorstep with many walks from which to choose. Keen walkers can explore the Clyde Walkway which starts here and finishes in Glasgow. It is a most enjoyable riverbank excursion with the opportunity to observe its diverse wildlife and admire the various historical buildings en route. From the Farm, a 10 minute walk will take you into the Falls of Clyde Nature Reserve. While there, you can book a badger watching trip or simply enjoy viewing our picturesque waterfalls. Alternatively, spend busy days visiting the varied attractions within range of Corehouse by car, bus and train. We are delighted to recommend places to visit and provide helpful directions to ensure our guests find their way home to Corehouse Farm Cottages.
