A comfortably small and cosy cottage built in the 1850s is the perfect home away from home, filled with lots of character and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Downstairs consists of sitting room, dining room and kitchen, conveniently open plan. The dining room opens out to a pretty south facing courtyard garden, with 2 seating areas and an attractive pond. Upstairs has a main double bedroom with lots of storage and views over the town. The smaller second bedroom has a trundle bed so can either be a single or double and has views over the courtyard garden. A landing leads to a small but charming bathroom, with a shower over the bath. The stairs are a little steep but there is a handrail. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Parking is on street in the road outside.

Situated in a quiet residential street, less than a 10 minute walk from the islands capital town. With excellent transport links, various shops and attractions along with plenty of restaurants and pubs, Newport is a fantastic base to explore the island. With our glorious beaches and areas of outstanding natural beauty just a few minutes drive by car or by bus, you are ideally located to experience the best the island has to offer. Lots of great walks from our doorstep, with Carisbrooke castle less than 20 minutes away by foot. Opposite the cottage is a fantastic playing field with a small park, perfect for children or dogs for a walk.
