Wren cottage is a unique and gorgeous little 400 year old, 1 bed character cottage with a big personality! Located on the prettiest street in the award winning town of Marlborough , it is ideally placed for a 1 min walk to High Street shops, pubs, picnic spots & lovely walks over the Downs. The cottage has a recently modernised kitchen and bathroom but also maintains all of its period charms including some low beamed ceilings & exposed timber walls, with a large bedroom & storage for bikes. There are steep stairs and low ceilings in places and although it provides lots of character it may not be suitable for some more elderly guests! The large bedroom is a lovely large space with beamed ceiling and plenty of clothes storage. The bedroom window has lovely views to the church spire!

I live in Marlborough and have been married to Fiona for 25 years. I have two children who have finished Uni and have now started working, but still regularly come home to eat everything in the fridge! I enjoy travel but still like coming home to my lovely town of Marlborough! I love history and old buildings, which is why I have recently bought and modernised a 400 yr old listed cottage in Marlborough to offer as an Airbnb. I live a 2 minute walk from the cottage and I am very happy to be contacted regarding any queries you may have or recommendations required , to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Wren Cottage is in a great location on probably the prettiest & oldest residential street in Marlborough. 1 min walk to town and all the great amenities it offers, as well as The Green - a very pretty grass square surrounded by listed houses - great for picnics, sunbathing and chilling out! Because the house is in the centre of town, there is a small degree of general traffic noise however the road is residential and is generally pretty quiet. There is no parking on property. The street has some 2 hr parking further down the road .... after 4pm you will be ok until 11am the next day & no restriction on Sunday. Free spaces are also around The Green and off the High Street there are also several car parks.
