This cosy, two bedroom cottage has a wood burning stove and a very comfy sofa. It’s a family home with books, board games, tv, wifi and a well equipped kitchen. There’s a ‘studio’ room upstairs with a board and easel for drawing and painting & a spare bed. It’s a short walk to the beach and only a few yards to the sea wall. You can stroll there in the evening, with a glass of wine, whiskey or a cup of tea and gaze at the sunset.

I’m an artist and retired teacher. My family have had holidays in Cullen for four generations. Having worked in London for many years it has been a haven for rest and enjoyment. We’re very happy to share our cottage with the lovely people who have been here and are very happy to be in touch and hear about your holiday.

Just a few minutes walk from the cottage is the long, sandy Cullen beach. Up the path and along the cliffs is the spectacular Bow Fiddle Rock, home to a variety of seabirds including kittiwakes and fulmars. The Moray Firth dolphins can be seen from the beach or cliffs. The Cullen Sea School is just past the harbour offering a variety of activities and the golf course and clubhouse are beside the beach. There is an assortment of antique and bric a brac shops, a co-op, open til 10 pm, and the Seafield Hotel in Cullen as well as a fish and chip shop and a sweet shop serving homemade ice cream. There are many whiskey distilleries and castles to visit in the area. Cawdor Castle, with Shakespearian connections is beautiful and Strathisla Distillery in Keith offers tastings and tours.
