This Cosy Lake District Village Apartment is a hidden gem, it's on the route of Alfred Wainwright's famous Coast 2 Coast Walk in the beautiful village of Sandwith near Whitehaven, and just a short walk to the delightful coastal hideaway of St Bees. Ideal for couples this home-from-home has free parking right outside your door. It is a stylish cosy bolt hole with fantastic local walks on your door step. We offer a "Free" drop off to the St Bees starting point of the Coast 2 Coast for all our walking guests. If you wish to bring your dog we appreciate being notified upon booking as stated. We know the weather in the lakes can be changeable so we have provided a fantastic Welcome Pack with bread, wine, biscuits, butter, milk, and a few special treats. Our apartment has Lake District guides, maps, books, games, Streaming TV, a fantastic DVD collection, including the full Game of Thrones series. We highlight the work of local artists with paintings, prints and glassworks. All in all, if you are out or in, you will be entertained.

We have been long term renting for years but we have always wanted to give a Holiday Let a go, so Apartment 6 is our first try. We are near retirement age now but I think that gives us a good idea of what our guests would like in a place to stay in the beautiful English Lakes. We have put our guests first while converting the property, getting the basics right is important, a comfy settee, everything you need to cook a meal, a huge warm bed, and a hot walk in shower, and stylish décor. We have provided some great local information about the Western Lakes and the wider National Park so you can plan your days & nights. We have a long term plan for our 19th century barn, and this is the next step. We hope you enjoy your stay and want to return.!

We are on the route of the Coast 2 Coast walk, we are close to the National Cycle Path routes, and the King Charles III England Coastal Path is less than a mile away, you can literally have a fantastic walking or cycling holiday without using your car.! We have a great village Pub, the Dog & Partridge a hundred yards away, the fabulous coastal hideaway of St Bees is a 2 mile walk, with great rail links to all areas of the Lake District. A little further afield is Ennerdale (walkable), Loweswater, Wasdale, Grasmere, Keswick, Ambleside & Windermere, all within an easy drive for a day out. We have some great local suggestions for walks, food and drink and local attractions, all either recommended by us, or family & friends. We are very lucky to be in the location we are, and we hope you will enjoy the breath-taking scenery of the Western Lakes & beyond.
