Ploughman's Row numbers 1 & 3 are delightful converted agricultural barns renovated to a high standard. Both barns are beautiful modern open plan cottages with gleaming white floors and loads of glass flooding the place with light.
The 2 bedrooms are doubles both with king size beds, (Ploughman's Row 3 has a super king bed in one bedroom), one of which in each cottage is able to be split into 2 singles if required, both have luxury en suite bathrooms with showers. Central heating is throughout the properties and there is always hot water, the cool modern kitchens are perfect for staying connected with your pals while making your simple or gourmet meals. All the equipment is there to enable you to make stunning meals, however if there is something particular you need do let us know and if we have it (we will, Richard is a keen cook) you can use it. Outside is a fully enclosed private garden, dog proof and dog friendly, landscaped with a charcoal bbq and seating perfect for outdoor living and those welcome gin's and tonic.
Pig Cottage is also available on this platform if you are looking for a romantic stay for 2 people, this has a bath and a spa hot tub and is the perfect place to relax alone or with the one you love.
Hi, we are Richard and Helen Crossman the owners and managers of Dairy Cottages. Proud parents of 6 children who have all flown the nest we decided to convert our farm buildings to holiday homes.
We like to travel and have picked up lots of tips and found out what other people do best over the years, we have worked on the good ideas and avoided the bad ones so we like to think we have made Dairy Cottages as comfortable as possible for the discerning traveler.
We live nearby and are always ready to help you out with shopping deliveries or where to go for food and activities in the local area.
We love going away for breaks and want you to love it too, that's why you should consider our cottages for your next trip away, thank you for looking.
Dairy Cottages are perfectly located between the fabulous beaches of Sandbanks and Bournemouth, the wide open spaces of the New Forest National Park, the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and the quaint villages all over Dorset.
You can sail or sea fish from Poole (12 miles), go horse riding nearby (2 miles), Play golf on the championship golf course at Remedy Oak (less then 1 mile), explore the Georgian market town of Wimborne (6 miles), or go on country walks all around us, we are luxury bang slap in the centre of all the best that Dorset has to offer.
The Purbeck Hills are spectacular walking country, stroll along the coastal path to Lulworth Cove or Durdle Door or even further along to the Jurassic coast world heritage site and do a little fossil hunting. The market town of Wimborne is a delight, full of pubs and cafes and great places to eat, or go a little further to Shaftesbury and walk Gold Hill where the old Hovis advert was filmed. The New Forest National Park is only 10 minutes away where ponies and cattle roam free, find a pub for lunch then visit Lyndhurst in the heart of the forest or Lymington on the coast.
Fancy something a bit posher? Go to Sandbanks, millionaires row, and visit Rick Stein's place and sample some tremendous fish dishes (meat too) in an informal but smart harbourside setting, it really is fabulous. While you're there stroll along Poole quay and see where all the Sunseekers are made, or take the chain ferry over to Studland nature reserve for some of the best beaches in the country.
If you want to bring your canine pal with you that's just fine, there is a paddock of ours right outside the garden gate where your dog can have a run, most pubs in the area welcome dogs so you can still do all we've suggested.
Whatever you do have a great time.
