Dandelion Cottage is about 1½ miles from the village Dalston where the river Caldew passes through on its way from the Lakeland fells. The Cumbrian Way (a long distance footpath) and the Reivers Cycle Route pass through Dalston. Dandelion Cottage is 3 minutes drive from the M6.
