All the attractions of this area are a stones throw away but then you can get away from it all with outstanding peace and quiet. Empty beach just yards away. Relax with the whole family.

The Cottage is well established in the quiet end of Chapel St Leonards near the North Sea Observatory. The local attractions are a short distance away. The cottage benefits from a dedicated path to the sandy beach that has few people on it even at the seasons peak. Just down a windy path at one end of Roman Bank, there is a convenience store/newsagent and a pub that does grub called The Trafalga (yep, without the R!) The Cottage has its own parking spaces for up to 3 cars. Access is a little tight and not suitable for motor homes or vehicles larger than a VW van. There is a large pay & display car park at the North Sea Observatory and two more in the village centre. There is a regular bus service. The nearest train station is in Skegness. The coastal path from Chapel Point to Skegness is outstanding for cycling. There is a lot of wildlife around, and you may see deer, rabbits, foxes, badgers, many breeds of birds and sometimes we get a visit from a seal in the sea, which is always a lovely sight. There's a seal sanctuary at Skegness, and a donkey sanctuary ten minutes drive away with free admission. In November and December, you can visit Donna Nook, about 40 minutes drive up the coast, and see hundreds of nursing grey seal pups on the salt marshes before they make their way out to see to start their grown up lives! The beach is also great for sea fishing. A recent guest reported that they went crabbing in the waterway leading out to sea right near our property. 3 buckets full in an hour! Six marshes just up coast is a great place to go bird watching. There are binoculars on the shelf in the living room you can borrow, just please take care of them and place them back on the shelf for other guests to use. Thanks. Enjoy!
