4 bedroom home located less than 1 mile from the beautiful market town of Ashbourne, the Gateway to the Peak District. Ashbourne is a pretty Georgian town with a plethora of independent shops (butchers/bakeries/greengrocers/fishmongers), supermarkets, boutiques, cocktail/wine bars, public houses and restaurants. The town is famous for its Shrovetide medieval football game where thousands line the streets watching who will be victorious the Up'ards or Downards. The house benefits from an enclosed private garden with dining furniture and bbq and private parking for guests.
A Derbyshire lad, I just love the local surroundings, often walking and cycling all the top Peak District routes.
Located in a sleepy cul de sac within 1 mile of Ashbourne town centre The house is a perfect base for a Peak District Staycation for families, couples or larger parties. The location lends itself to exploring the great scenic outdoors of the peak district with Dovedale, Thorpe Cloud, Carsington Water and the Tissington Trail within easy reach. The location boasts many historic house, such as Kedleston/Sudbury Hall, Chatsworth among others. For the horse lovers, the house is located a mere 9 miles from Uttoxeter Racecourse which can be accessed by car or bus. The racecourse hosts the Midlands Grand National. Contractors - JCB, Rolls Royce, Toyota, Bowmer Kirkland, Bombardier all located nearby. 1 mile from Tissington Trail (popular cycling route) 4 miles from the iconic stepping stones, Dovedale and Thorpe Cloud 7 miles from Alton Towers 9 miles Uttoxeter Racecourse Further Afield; 15 miles - to the popular Peak District towns of Bakewell and Matlock 16 miles - to the iconic Chatsworth House
