A couple of miles further down the coastline is where boat trips to the Farne Islands depart regularly from its harbour. The small town of Wooler is situated 10 miles west of Belford and is a popular destination for those who enjoy outdoor activities. The challenging route of ‘St Cuthbert’s Way’ runs close by.
