Nestled between Saltburn and Whitby is our stunning shepherds hut complete with a large decking area and hot tub. Simply pop your bags down and start to enjoy your stay!
Fernlea shepherds hut is the perfect place to stay in a great location for guests to enjoy walking, cycling and sightseeing the stunning North Yorkshire Moors and the beautiful coastline all on our door step!
Enjoy a soak in the hide-a-way hot tub area and relax in the bubbles. Spa robes will be provided.
Fernlea is our family home and the beautiful shepherds hut sits peacefully at the back of our property. We own 6 acres of lovely fields where the horses graze happily . There is a main drive entrance which leads off to the left where the shepherds hut is located.
There is also a lovely static caravan on the grounds located slightly away from the hut.
Please note our family home is currently under major renovation at the entrance of the drive however, the shepherds hut is located well away from the project and this will not affect your stay.
Our stunning shepherds hut will be all ready and waiting for you to enjoy. We take pride in giving our guests the treat they deserve and as we live at Fernlea we are not far away should our guests need us.
The quiet village of Stanghow sits on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and only 5 miles from the stunning coast line. Salburn, Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Grosmont, North Yorkshire Moors Railway are all within easy distance of Stanghow.
Beautiful Lockwood Beck Reservoir is within walking distance and the relaxing Scaling Dam Reservoir which offers pike and course fishing and an enjoyable circular walk is only 6.3miles away!
These are just some beauty spots nearby.
Stanghow and the surrounding area is also known for its ironstone mining history.
The name "Stanghow" is thought to come from the Old Norse "Stong-how" meaning
"pole hill"
