Fisherman's cottage is situated in the quiet seaside village location of Barmston, which is 6 miles from Bridlington. The cottage is over 300 years old and has been in our family for 70 years. My great grandma bought it as a holiday home and it was used regularly for number of years until my mum and dad bought it in 1987 and we have lived there as a family until 2016. We have been a fishing family for over 30 years from the local harbour in Bridlington and then more recently until retiring from the beach at the end of the lane. There are lots of original features in the property such as the staircase and fire place. There is a very spacious garden with private parking for multiple vehicles. The property has 2 upstairs bedrooms and full bathroom. Then a double bedroom with ensuite shower room downstairs. There is a fully equipped kitchen, living room and conservatory / dining room on the ground floor. The new shower room has made the cottage more accessible for people with mobility issues as all facilities are now on the ground floor. There is plenty of space to accommodate 6 people within the cottage and dogs are more than welcome for a small charge. Please Note as a rule we do not accept same sex parties of more than 4 people.

I have been hosting the cottage since 2017 and really enjoy meeting people and letting them use the property to make holiday memories beside the sea I live with my own family in Skipsea and my parents still live in Barmston, it really is a lovely quiet place to be with the beach in walking distance and many fields to entertain the dogs and children.

There are lots of activities in the local area for adults and children. There is a lovely beach only 10 mins walk from the property and plenty of countryside walks. There is a pub next door to the cottage serving food and drinks. Bridlington seaside resort is only 6 miles away with amusements, fairground, harbour and new swimming complex. Hornsea is 10 miles from us with the Freeport shopping outlet and beach front. There is a regular bus service to Hornsea, Bridlington and Driffield running most days of the year.
