The property is a 19th century recently refurbished cottage located just outside the village of Mitcheldean surrounded by beautiful unspoilt farming countryside against the backdrop of the Forest of Dean. Perfect for families, small groups or couples wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and explore this scenic part of Gloucestershire. The property contains a master bedroom and 3 additional single bedrooms. There is also the option of converting the second sitting room into an additional bedroom, using the double sofa bed (see pictures). The property is ideal for families or small groups looking for a peaceful stay in the beautiful Forest of Dean countryside. The master bedroom is on the first floor along with two single bedrooms. There is another single bedroom on the ground floor, along with the second sitting room which can also be used as a double bedroom.

The property is well located to access all of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley’s major attractions including Symmonds Yat, Puzzlewood, Peddleabikeway, Sculpture Trail and the many renowned picnic areas such as Beechanhurst and Mallards Pike. It is also well linked to a network of footpaths with the Wysis Way running directly across the front of the property. The historic market town of Ross-on-Wye is just a 15 minute drive away which offers excellent shops, pubs and restaurants together with beautiful Tudor buildings. Enjoy a Wye-valley river cruise, walking in the Forest of Dean, a hot air balloon ride or enjoy trips to the Black Mountains, Hereford, Cheltenham or Malvern Hills slightly further afield. Many of our guest also enjoy day trips to attractions in the Cotswolds area. After a day of adventure, guests can retire to the Cottage for a home cooked meal and enjoy a cold refreshing drink on the patio/back garden in the middle of the countryside. Pets will be considered upon request. Note that the property will be deep cleaned and aired in between visits.
