Beauly is a beautiful village, that has public transport services (train and bus) to and from Inverness and onwards to Edinburgh or Glasgow. The train station is located at the edge of the village, around 15-20mins walking from the property. The bus stop is less than 2 mins walk from the building.
The apartment has a warm cozy feel to it, with comfortable furnishings. There is a washing machine and drying rack if you need to clean clothes, or there is a laundrette nearby at the filling station.
Beauly is beautiful like the name suggests, lovely cafes and restaurants,
The area where the apartment is based is very calm and peaceful, despite being centrally located within the village.
It is a real treat to stay in the village. It has a huge amount of history.
There are sites including the world famous Beauly Priory dating back to 13th century. This is one of the most visited sites in the area, and John Keats composed a poem about the priory (Abbey).
The River Beauly is a stunning river, which flows at the back of the village, and can be followed along towards the Beaufort estate and Lovat Estate which are nearby.
The cafes have fresh produce every day, and the restaurants are fantastic for a good hearty meal in the evenings (located at the hotels). There is also a very famous chipper (The Friary) which has awards for its Fish Supper.
Beauly also has fantastic shops - including a world famous tailors and brilliant antique shops.
