Garbhein is our architect designed one and a half storey home built in 1983, it has been continually upgraded. Nestling in what was the Cuilfail Hotel Gardens. The mature gardens attract a multitude of wild birds which can be viewed from the dining room whilst enjoying our home cooked breakfast. The Cuilfail Hotel bar opposite was originally a Drover's Inn some 500 years ago. The rest of the Hotel was built as a Coaching and trout fishing Inn around 1883. Excellent Home made bar meals are served Tuesday through to Saturday. No street lights in the Old Village means Dark Skies, on a clear night you can lie in your bed or sit on the patio and marvel at the stars and planets. Garbhein is at the North end of Kilmelford with views of the surrounding hills on which sheep and cattle graze peacefully while buzzards and sometimes White tailed Eagles hunt over the tops. Wake up early in the morning and you may see our resident pine martens around the garden. In the Autumn open your bedroom window and listen to the stags rutting on the hillsides and woodlands.
