A stylish, self-contained garden apartment with private garden and patio area, chiminea and private off-street parking. The studio has a KING sized bed, sitting and dining area, kitchenette and shower room Only a few minutes walk from local pubs, shops, cafes and delis this tranquil studio is an ideal base for two people when exploring the area, attending weddings, local events, a base for work or simply just looking for a lovely place to relax. A continental breakfast hamper is provided on your arrival.
The studio was converted in 2021 from what was originally the outbuildings of Biggar's Victorian Station Hotel built in the 1880's. Your host is a professional photographer and the studio is also used as a photography studio when required, The garden studio is situated in the garden of the main house a short distance from Biggar High Street where you will find a selection of independent shops, pubs, cafes and a selection takeaway food options. The studio is also only a few minutes walk from open countryside. Your host will be happy to help with any advice or information during your visit.
The studio is situated in a lovely neighbourhood only a five minute walk to the town centre and all amenities. You are also only a two minute walk from open fields and beautiful countryside. The studio is very close to the local wedding venues of Cornhill Castle Hotel, Shieldhill Castle Hotel, and Cormiston Farm.
Biggar is a lovely market town which is situated in the Southern Uplands near the River Clyde. Peebles is a 30 minute drive by car, 29 miles from Edinburgh and 49 miles from Glasgow. Biggar has much to offer with a short walk to, independent award winning shops, you will also find a selection of restaurants, pubs, takeaways and specialist food shops. The town has parks, play areas, a museum and golf course as well as beautiful countryside for hill walking with Culter Fell and Tinto close by. Biggar holds a number of events throughout the year including the Biggar Vintage Rally, Biggar Show and Biggar Little Festival, Biggar Gala week and the famous Biggar Hogmanay bonfire in the town centre only a short walk from the studio.
