Gibshiel is a fantastic B&B retreat and a working hill farm. It is unique in that it is 'off grid' which means that it it is completely solar and wind powered and fed by it's own deep sourced water spring. Following the extensive renovations in 2021/22 we were awarded a rare 'A' rated Energy Performance Certificate for a property which is run off renewable energy.
Located in the heart of the rolling hills of the Northumberland National Park, we are situated along the famous Pennine Way trek route and have access to many footpaths and cycle routes nearby. We are situated on the south east side of Kielder Forest which offers many visitor attractions - walks, treks, off road cycle paths, sailing to name a few. The world famous Kielder Observatory is close too - we are situated in Europe's largest Dark Sky Park.
